Cheap Chix Weekend: November 1st - 4th

Thursday, November 1, 2012

Now that Halloween has come and gone, you still have a few fun options this week.  How about a few Dia de los Muertos shin digs? If you’re done with all of the holidays for the month, check out AFI Fest, where you can see up to 12 movies for free.  There’s also wine tasting in Manhattan Beach or food trucks on Melrose.

Friday, November 2, 2012
This is the first Friday of the month. You know what that means? Food trucks in Venice or Westchester neighborhoods.

Saturday, November 3, 2012
Start your day off with a nature walk tour.  Today also brings you organic beef hot dogs at Beachy Cream in Santa Monica. Did I mention that they are gratis to the first 100 customers? They open at 11:00 a.m., so hurry!
Get a dose of culture at LACMA this weekend when admission is free to BofA and Merrill Lynch cardholders.

If you’re looking to add a few new pieces to your home, but you’re on a tight budget, then check out this one-day Furniture and Home Décor Warehouse Floor Sample Sale.
Then there’s Designer Con in Pasadena with collectible toys, designer apparel, and art with urban, underground, pop twist!

Sunday, November 4, 2012
Don’t forget to fall back with your clocks! Today is the last day of the long daylight hours.  You can spend this time at the Pink Taco Sunset Strip Sunday Funday with happy hour, raffles, and bottomless mimosas! Alternatively, there are sober, cultural options Downtown LA with the Flashfest at Grand Park in the afternoon or Patchwork’s Indie Arts and Crafts Festival in Culver City.
Later in the evening, check out this spoken word comedy show in NoHo. Then go home, relax and get ready for what the new week has to offer J
