Visitation Carnival is Friday through Sunday in Westchester. Free Admission! Rides, prizes, and games, oh my!

Beverly Hills ArtShow from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Blvd. Over 250 exhibitors will display and sell their work. There will also be food trucks, beer garden, and food trucks.
 
Deep in Downtown LA, there’s the Brewery Art Walk from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free admission and parking! This is a dynamic community of artists and the venue is pretty cool too!

To get your arts fix, Pasadena is hosting the 7th Annual Pasadena ArtWeekend. It’s five arts events in 3 days, all for free.  From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. is the first affair, ArtNight Pasadena, when 16 cultural institutions are free of charge including the Art Center College of Design, the Norton Simon Museum, and Kids’ Space Museum.

Saturday, October 13
All day is the Piece Fest, a celebration of music and street art in Downtown LA and executive produced by David Arquette. Admission starts at $30. Proceeds benefit Pico Union Housing Corp and Graff Lab.

Also in Downtown at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.,  Terrance Simien Zydeco Experience will be at the Music Center .  Learn while dancing about the Louisiana Creole culture through this free event and enjoy traditional food, which will be available for purchase.

I bet you thought block parties ended with the summer season. But, there’s Ciclavia, L.A.’s huge block party. Miles and miles of the city’s streets will be blocked off to car traffic, leaving the streets open for walking, biking, skating, and skateboarding. This event will feature hubs in Exposition Park, Chinatown, Boyle Heights, among other neighborhoods. Also, check out the architecture guide of the route.

The Abbot Kinney Music Festival is on Sunday in Venice. It’s an annual festival that celebrates the eclectic energy of the Abbot Kinney neighborhood. Look forward to live music, local artisan crafts, food, and a commitment to environmental friendliness.

If you were wondering which region, Oaxaca or Puebla, has the best mole, check out Feria de los Moles on Olvera Street in Downtown LA from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. You’ll get to sample various moles. Admission is gratis and boletos, tickets in ingles, can be purchased on site for food.
