The Poor Porker (imagine a roaming dessert vendor) will be serving their famous beignets and chicory coffee for FREE.99 on Saturday, September 1st at the Espionage from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. See ya there :-)


Later on Saturday evening, check out SoundWalk 2012. It’s like an art walk for sound from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the East Village Arts District of Long Beach. Next is dessert at Jamba Juice! Yes, your favorite smoothie joint is now serving frozen yogurt! Get 2 medium size servings for only $5!

Sunday, September 2nd
Wake up and head to Malibu for Serenity Sundays --> 8:00 a.m. donation yoga, followed by a light breakfast (for a fee) at Gladstones. Reserve your spot by calling (310) 454-3474. Arrive early!

Saturday, September 1st – Monday, September 3rd

Starting in the afternoon, head to the LBC for the 63rd Annual Long Beach Greek Festival and Cultural Event. Features food, activities, vendors, carnival rides, and games. Admission is only $3 for adults, but admission is totally free all day for everyone on Monday, Labor Day! Also, the Black Music and Arts Festival is the whole weekend. Great music performances from some of the greats like Lalah Hataway and Deniece Williams. Admission is $10 or 2 tickets for $15. Foodies may want to check out LA Times THE TASTE for a discount!
