The Physics of Hollywood Movies, Adam Weiner, hosts an evening of conversations with film professionals and scientists where they will discuss the intersection of fiction and scientific research. The interactive event will include scenes from movies ranging from Superman through Thor and X-Men: First Class. Panelists include E. Paul Zehr, an author, professor and director at the Centre for Biomedical Research at the University of Victoria, Spencer Cook, the lead animator on Spider-Man and animation supervisor on Spider-Man 3, and Sean Carroll, an author and senior research associate in physics at Caltech, and science advisor on Thor.
